Section 2: Hazards Identification

  1. May cause irritation to the mouth and upper digestive tract.
  2. May cause significant skin irritation especially if exposure is prolonged and/ or repeated.
  3. Contact with eyes can cause severe irritation.  If not washed out promptly, will injure the tissue , and permanent damage may result.

 

 

Section 3: First Aid Measures

  1. Wash out mouth with water. Do not induce vomiting seek medical advice
  2. Wash the skin with soap and water .Seek medical attention if skin  appears damaged.
  3. Immediately wash out the eye with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes holding the eye open
  4. Seeking medical attention urgently

 

 

Section 4 : Fire and Explosion Data

 

Fumes containing carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide and sulphur dioxide may be formed in large fire.

1-Use power, form, sand, water spray.

2-Avoid using large quantities of water.

3-In case of fire, self-contained breathing apparatus should be worn.

 

 

Section 5: Accidental Release Measures

Contain and collect spillage.

Absorb on to sand/ kieselguhr.

Failure to contain release must be reported to the local authority and medical should be  notified.

  1. May make floor very slippery.
  2. wear impervious gloves overalls and eye protection while clearing up the spillage.
  3. Do not wash into the drains.
  4. Place in plastic barrels for disposal.
  5. Do not mix with other waster materials.

 

 

Section 6 : Handling and Storage

  1. Store in plastic, plastic lined or stainless steel, tight closed containers at between 5 and 40Co
  2. Do not store close to strong oxidizing agents which could aggravate any fire situation

 

 

Section 7  : Exposure Controls / Personal Protection

1-     Avoid contact with eyes, skin or clothes.

2-     Working procedures should be designed to minimize workers exposure to this product When this is not possible, the following personal protective equipment should be provided.

a.       Skin protection: Protective overalls and shoes/boots recommended.

b.      Hand protection: Impervious gloves recommended.

c.       Eye protection: Safety face shield must be worn.

d.      Respiratory protection: All personal protective equipment must comply with the appropriate EEC (CE) standards and should be maintained and stored to ensure continued suitability for use. Where necessary workers should be trained in the effective use of the personal protective equipment provided.

Section 9 : Toxicological Information

1-     Not classified as “Harmful if swallowed”. May cause some irritation of the mouth and upper digestive tract.

2-     May produce significant skin irritation after prolonged contact.

3-     May cause severe, possibly permanent eye damage.

 

 

Section 10: Ecological Information

1-     Ecoloxicity: The product is toxic to aquatic organisms.

2-     Ecological Overview: Not expected to cause significant environment impact.

3-     Mobility : the product will dissolve in water.

4-     Persistence / Degradability : This product is readily biodegradable with respect to EC criteria.

      5- Do not release into surface waters.

 

 

Section 11 Disposal Considerations

1-     When disposing of waste or surplus material avoid contact with the eye and skin. Impervious gloves/over all sand a Face shield must be worn.  

2-     Do not wash into the drains.

3-     Do not mix with other waste materials.

4-     Dispose of in accordance with Federal State and local authority regulations.
